Variant cover comparison
Side-by-side notes on A covers, incentive-style variants, and homage dresses so a Marvel NFT comic drop is not mistaken for a different issue.
Variant covers are where NFT comic listings get noisy. Two files can share an issue number and still be different objects: a trade-dress A cover, a virgin cover, a sketch variant, or a retailer-style homage. Panel Craft Base writes a comparison sheet that names those differences without treating any cover as automatically “rarer” in a marketplace sense.
The sheet lists visible marks: corner box, character placement, trade dress color, and whether the NFT image crops a printed wraparound. We also note when a listing uses a cover that historically belonged to a different month’s periodical.
This is useful when a collector is trying to complete a cover set rather than a story run. The comparison is visual and bibliographic. It is not an appraisal.
Email a pair or a small stack of listing names. We return a table of cover designations and a short paragraph on how they sit relative to the story issue. Call the Bangkok desk if you need to talk through a large stack before we write.
