Tracking a crossover when drops arrive out of order
Printed event months already scramble spinning racks. NFT drops add a second scramble: a tie-in title may appear a week after the finale cover because that is when the file was scheduled, not when the story sits.
Panel Craft Base drop lists therefore use story beats, not release timestamps, as the primary sort. The Ledger can still store the drop date in a second column so you remember what arrived on Wednesday in Bangkok time.
When a crossover jumps into a second Marvel title, we write a detour line: leave Book A after issue n, read Book B’s numbered file, return. If Book B exists only as a variant cover that week, the detour is marked “cover only, skip for plot.”
Collectors who try to sort solely by marketplace recency end up reading endings first. That can be fun. It is a poor way to curate a run you intend to reread.
